What does your education mean to you?

What opportunities has your education here at Tufts afforded you or will it give you in the future?
Step back for a second and try and imagine this:
You've worked hard all through the high school system, yet suddenly you are denied an education and a future because of a status that has been assigned to you, regardless of your control.
The DREAM Act is a piece of national legislation that proposes to change this unfair situation, currently affecting an estimated 65,000 students. It represents a portal towards future Comprehensive Immigration Reform(CIR). For these reasons, Students at Tufts Acting For Immigrant Rights (STAIR) is working towards an endorsement by the Tufts administration of this legislation.
Background Information on the DREAM Act
The Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (the DREAM Act) herewith referred to as the DREAM Act, is a proposed national piece of legislation that if enacted, would grant permanent conditional residence status to undocumented immigrant students. This status would allow them to apply for financial aid and qualify for in-state tuition at state universities. In order to be eligible, a student must have arrived in the US as a child, been in the country for 5 continuous years, and have graduated from a US high school.
